RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Patrols grounds to ensure the security of company property.
Ensures no unauthorized personnel enter company buildings.
Communicates weekly with NovaCopper on the condition of the camp.
Watches for vandalism of company property.
Reports unauthorized personnel and vandalism of company property and any other incidents to the company and state troopers.
Reports all safety and environmental incidents to the company immediately.
Completes a weekly checklist on the status of the camp and equipment.
Notifies NovaCopper if they are going to be leaving the camp.
Keeps the camp clean.
Performs scheduled maintenance on the diesel generator.
Keeps all tent roofs clear of snow.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
High School Education is preferred.
Previous experience as a security guard or a watchman preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS & SCHEDULE
Required to work in arctic conditions.
Must be comfortable working independently and with minimal supervision.
Food will be provided via charter from Kotzebue/Fairbanks.
A company snow machine will be provided but it not intended for personal use.
Fuel will be supplied but is not intended for personal use.
Will be subject to NovaCopper’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.
Required to work 2 months continuously.
